Diamond Wire Sawing
Diamond wire cutting and sawing is an ideal technique for removing large sections of heavily reinforced concrete in complex situations where access is restricted such as a bridge deck or in the removal of columns and beams, where depth and speed of cut are critical. It can also be used to cut flush to existing walls. Diamond wire cutting and sawing provides a useful alternative ins situations where at one time, stitch drilling would have been the only option.
The Diamond Wire saw consists of a continuous diamond coated wire threaded through a series of pulleys and then looped around the concrete to be cut. The wire is fed through the pulleys and the diamond beads attached to the wire cut through the concrete. As the cut gets deeper into the concrete, the pulley system continously adjusts the tension automatically taking up the slack in the wire until the cutting is completed.
Diamond wire cutting is both quiet and fumeless. This non-percussive cutting method provides a safe system of operation which is both flexible and speedy and leaves a smooth cut finish.
