Passive Fire Protection

In addition to our range of construction and drilling services, CA Drillers supply and install a range of passive fire protection systems. These systems are usually required at the point of the building but can also be retrofitted.

Passive Fire Protection systems are vital for a building’s fire safety and protection. Passive Fire Protection is a range of different systems which are built-in components of any building, designed to improve its fire safety. They can be used to compartmentalise a building through fire-resistance walls and floors and can help aid escape and safety during a fire, as areas can be fully isolated.

Our highly qualified London and South East teams work very closely with various suppliers allowing us to provide a range of Passive Fire Protection systems for your premises, ensuring full fitting and appropriate systems for your building. There are a range of different protection systems available and the services we offer includes:

Passive Fire Protection – To Protect Lives And Property

Since 1981, CA Drillers have been providing our professional services to the construction industry. Our business is ISO certified and all our staff have CSCS accreditation too. Our experience in fire protection, including passive systems, ensures we can provide the right systems to suit your building and advise on what works best for your business.

Our experienced teams work nationwide as well as locally in London, Kent and the South East, ensuring reliable fire protection systems are in place to keep your building as safely as possible. The trauma involved in a fire is great enough without additional worries about your building’s survival and the right systems can help protect the building and its inhabitants and ensure an extra layer of safety.

Cavity Barriers

Cavity barrier systems minimise and even prevent the unseen movement of flame and smoke in concealed elements of your building, including spaces between walls and floors. The systems can be put in place throughout the entire structure of your premises to add further fire protection.

Structural Firestopping within Floors

Firestopping within floors can help contain fires within a single floor and aid escape in lower and higher levels. We can provide fire seals within the structural floor slab which have the load bearing capabilities you require.

SOFFIT Insulation

This particular type of insulation is an upgrade to the average concrete floor slab and can provide thermal insulation and fire resistance in line with current specifications and requirements.

Ductwork

Fire-rated ductwork involves using fire-rated boards which allow for the creation of new ductwork and add cladding to existing steel ductwork, providing longer periods of fire resistance.

Firestopping Walls and Floors

We can supply and install fully tested fire stopping systems to be built into the construction of your buildings. This can include reinstatement of those damaged in fire previously and this will help considerably with fire compartmentalisation in the event of a disaster.

Steelwork Fire Protection

Structurally protecting the steelwork of a building is possible through spray or board-based fire protection systems. This will insulate the steel frame supporting the building from the effects of any fire.

Reliable Records and Reporting

We also recognise the importance of keeping our clients aware of our work and give them insight into what we do. Our mobile installation app is used on all jobs and allows us to record all works on our smartphones and tablets as they take place. This allows us to produce real-time tagged photos and digitally marked-up drawings for a thorough and comprehensive reporting system. We are committed to transparency in all our services and our reporting system ensures our customers can be provided with every detail of our works where necessary.
